Broncos trail the Colts 10-7 at halftime, and they are 0-8 this season when they trail at halftime, 0-9 when they trail at the end of the third quarter.

Rams RB Todd Gurley recalled playing in Seattle as a rookie, in the finale of the 2015 season. He spiked the ball and one of his teammates said, "Boy, what you doing? You better keep that ball. You know how many people score in Seattle? Nobody."

I think we all expected the 2 TDs in the first half to runs by Jacoby Brissett and Brock Osweiler yes?

Jeff Legwold ESPN Senior Writer

Nominee for best play of the season that didn't count when Broncos running back leaped over Colts safety Clayton Geathers for what would have been a touchdown, but the play was then negated by a holding call on rookie tackle Garett Bolles.

Frank Gore's return is unknown because of a knee injury.

The Colts say Brandon Williams has movement in his limbs and that he has a head injury. There was no injury to his neck. He was strapped into a cart for precautionary measures.

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Does Todd Gurley think he's getting the ball enough? "Yeah, man. I go out there and do my job. If I get the ball, I get the ball. If I don't, I don't. As long as we're making plays to win the game. ... The main thing with Coach — he wants the run-pass balance. But stuff never goes to plan in this game. You go through situations, and he sees looks that he likes. .:. There's only one ball, and there's 11 people on the field. You can't get the ball every time. ... That's what it's all about on this team is being able to spread the balm out and not just going to one guy. Everybody can make plays out there."

Kicker Adam Vinatieri has made one field goal to give the Colts a 10-0 lead. He'll be back up to 90 percent if he makes his next four field goals.

Bill Barnwell @

Do you think of Adam Vinatieri more as a Patriots player (10 years) or Colts player (12 years)?

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Wade Phillips' first words when he reached the podium today: "Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson,'Russell Wilson." ...

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Todd Gurley called this "one of those games you usually see one of those other teams play in at the end of the year." The Rams are amazingly one of those teams. "Jalen Ramsey said it best: ‘There's new big dogs in the league.'"

Lucas Oil Stadium is in near silence as a stretcher is being brought out to tend to Colts TE Brandon Williams, who is still on ground at midfield. Many of the Colts and Broncos have taken a knee.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

The Broncos are about to turn to Brock Osweiler at quarterback. Osweiler went 2-0 vs. the Colts in 2016 as Houston's starting quarterback.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

The Colts already have two sacks and there's still 90 seconds left in the first quarter. This is just the sixth time this season that they've had at least two sacks in the game, which is why it's important that they look to acquire a pass rusher during the offseason.

Jeff Legwold ESPN Senior Writer

Doctors are walking Trevor Siemian toward locker room -- he was holding left arm/shoulder after sack.

Nick Wagoner ESPN Staff Writer

The shoulder injury to 49ers RT Trent Brown continues to linger as he didn't practice for a second day in a row. Brown has missed two of past three games with that injury and doesn't look to be on a good trajectory to play Sunday against Tennessee. That's not good news for the Niners as the Titans have racked up 20 sacks in the past three weeks, including two games with eight in each.

Nick Wagoner ESPN Staff Writer

49ers Thursday practice report: Did not participate -- T Trenton Brown (shoulder), DT DeForest Buckner (not injury related), DT Earl Mitchell (not injury related). Limited participation -- TE Garrett Celek (knee), S Adrian Colbert (thumb, thigh), CB Greg Mabin (calf), WR Louis Murphy (illness), LB Mark Nzeocha (hamstring), S Eric Reid (knee, rib), CB Ahkello Witherspoon (knee). Full participation -- DE Elvis Dumervil (not injury related), TE George Kittle (ankle), T Joe Staley (not injury related).

Rams RB Todd Gurley was asked how weird it would be to face a Seahawks team without Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor. He smiled. "God is good," he joked.

Jeff Legwold ESPN Senior Writer

That has been a theme of the season for Broncos as the offense turned it over and the defense, despite its rankings for much of the season, didn't hold the opponent after sudden change. Colts turned Siemian interception into 7-0 lead in seven-play drive.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

Jacoby Brissett's 7-yard touchdown run marked just the third time this season that the Colts scored a first quarter touchdown. And it was just their 13th touchdown on 33 tries inside the red zone this season.
