Pete Carroll on the significance of Justin Britt supporting Michael Bennett: "I think in this time that we're facing, this is more important than ever. There's a lot of growth that needs to take place for us to accomplish the change that needs to be dealt with. It's absolutely imperative that guys from both sides of the fence come together and learn and be open and support. And these guys are going to show you that. They're working at it. They understand that there's issues and concerns that we have difficulty talking about. But I know our team is working at it, and they're determined to try and make things better by the way they all share their own connection and learn how to make statements and understand and be respectful towards one another. I particularly like that that was the illustration. It warmed my heart to hear that that's what happened. Those guys got some brains. They're thinking about it. They're thinking about it very seriously. This is not just some frivolous thing where somebody made a mistake and sat down. This is guys working at it and guys trying to figure out how to help and how to make some sense for other people too. We're just a football team, but our guys care, and I'm really proud of them."

Justin Britt: "What Mike [Bennett] said, how he said a white player should do it, that kind of triggered in my mind because I see what's going on. We all do. And we all have choices whether to be an example or be a follower. I always tell kids don't be a follower. Be the one they're following. So whether it's good or bad in some eyes, I feel like I'm just supporting my teammate, supporting why he's doing it and his reasons and trying to encourage others."

The Seahawks' offense looked sharp in the first half. Russell Wilson completed 13 of 18 passes for 206 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Doug Baldwin looked good, catching all four of his targets for 69 yards. And Kasen Williams once again impressed. Williams had a pair of grabs for 28 yards and a touchdown. He's having a great preseason and likely playing his way onto the roster.

Fant was moving backwards in pass protection when center Justin Britt, who was on the ground, rolled into him. Fant immediately grabbed his right knee. He remained on the field for several minutes. Seahawks WR Kasen Williams has been brilliant so far this preseason. On the first drive against the Vikings, he had two catches for 28 yards and a touchdown. So far in the preseason, he has six catches on six targets for 147 yards and a score. What's been most impressive is that Williams has made a bunch of contested catches. And tonight, his receptions came against the starters.

For the second straight week, Michael Bennett sat for the national anthem. Seahawks center Justin Britt stood next to Bennett with his hand on Bennett's right shoulder, and the two hugged after the anthem. Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane stood facing Bennett with his back to flag and the field.
