Broncos coach Vance Joseph on the team's radio partner a few minutes ago on what he wants from newly named offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave: "I have confidence Bill can give us what we want in the pass game … as far as progressions, reads and providing this offense with more completed passes.'' Joseph also said he has not decided who the starting quarterback will be against the Oakland Raiders Sunday adding that he wants to sit down with Musgrave and see which quarterback fits best with what Musgrave wants to do.

Panthers quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey was lured out of retirement on Monday to play scout team quarterback with backups Derek Anderson and Garrett Gilbert out with an illness. His first pass was intercepted, which coach Ron Rivera called a good thing. He also felt Dorsey was the best option over several players interested in the job. “We figured it was safer than having [punter Michael] Palardy do it,'' Rivera joked. “We figured Ken is expendable, and Palardy is a little more valuable. . . . He was over there warming up. I said, ‘Are you kidding? Kick. That's all we ask is punt.' ''

DE Emmanuel Ogbah is mobile with his broken foot in a boot. Ogbah said the injury was non-contact. It will require surgery. He said rehab will be three-to-four months.
