I can't get carried away with Todd Gurley's hot start, though. A closer look at his three NFL seasons through three games: 2015: 66.3 PPR FPTS, 6.4 YPC, 2 total TDs 2016: 34.2 PPR FPTS, 2.9 YPC, 2 total TDs 2017: 85.1 PPR FPTS, 3.8 YPC, 6 total TDs What's made the difference in terms of fantasy production is scoring opportunity, as Gurley has eight touches within three yards of the goal line this year, compared to one (2015) and four (2016) in the other two sets. This feels a bit Melvin Gordon 2016-ish, except that their offenses aren't remotely comparable. It's encouraging from a "barely RB1" value standpoint, but I can't elevate Gurley further.

Tristan H. Cockcroft ESPN Senior Writer

Todd Gurley's 37.9 PPR fantasy points last night were the 10th-most by any running back in a Thursday game since at least 1950, and they were the third-most by a running back on Thursday Night Football since it began in 2006, trailing Kareem Hunt's 45.6 in 2017 Week 1 and Brian Westbrook's 40.0 in 2008 Week 13.

49ers K Robbie Gould on missed extra point: "I just rushed it," Gould said. "I missed it, I made a mistake. Obviously, I wish I didn't do that. We probably should be playing in overtime right now. But at the end of the day, they're counting on me to do my job and I didn't make the extra point that I needed to make."

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams RB Todd Gurley, on the encouragement of being in a system that sets this offense up for success: "It feels good, man. It feels good. We haven't been able to put up points like that since Marshall and them left. ... I'm just happy for Goff, being able to go out there and sling it. Especially after the tough year he had last year. I'm happy to see him progress."

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams NT Michael Brockers, on the struggles on defense: "There's so much we can clean up. The points that they scored was unacceptable. Not saying we feel like we're just the greatest defense ever, but we feel like we're better than that."
