Ben McAdoo says he'd "be disappointed" if any Giants players decided not to stand for anthem. He views it as an honor to those in service. McAdoo did say players have a right to freedom of speech.

Kenneth Acker, a backup cornerback acquired by the Chiefs over the weekend in a trade with the 49ers, said he was unaware of the national anthem controversy involving Colin Kaepernick. "What did he do? What happened?" Acker said. Acker played in the game in question, on Friday night against the Packers. "His legs hurt maybe or something," Acker said when told Kaepernick sat down during the anthem. "I was actually (facing) the flag and had my hand over (his heart) and I was looking up. I didn't know."

Dolphins rookie RB Kenyan Drake just showed patience on a nice run. He waited for the play to develop and the guard to seal the block in team drills. Good play.

Bucs wide receiver Evan Spencer (No. 85) is back practicing today. Going through receiver drills and the knee looks fine. He's accelerating and changing directions without any issues. Vincent Jackson and Donteea Dye (hamstring) are not practicing.

For those counting out Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo now that he is dealing with a compression fracture in his back, Jason Witten offers up some caution: "He's had a great offseason, he's built on a lot of those things. He had his best season after the back injury '13 going into '14. People are going to bet against him, that's fine, and I don't think that's unfair to do so. But if you know what he's about, which everybody in this building does, he's going to be back sooner than probably expected and he'll play better than anybody thought he would because I know that's what he's about. He's going to prepare himself. This is a minor setback for him, and he's done it his entire life and that gives us all a lot of confidence."

Backup QB Brett Hundley (ankle) has returned. Looks like he might be limited.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins QB Matt Moore is practicing for the first time since suffering a concussion against Dallas. He's doing individual drills only.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

The Jets are back on the practice field to begin the final week of the preseason. They still have to make three roster moves before tomorrow's 75 deadline. The expectation is that Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg will be the quarterbacks on Thursday against the Eagles.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

Jeff Janis, who fractured a bone in his right hand on Aug. 10, is back at practice for the first time. He has a large club cast on. Tough duty for a receiver. Perhaps he'll do only special teams.

Dolphins WR Kenny Stills is leaving practice after getting injured.

If Trevor Siemian, Jimmy Garoppolo and Dak Prescott all start Week 1, it will be the first time since 2001 that 3 QBs drafted outside the 1st round will all make their first career start in a season opener, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Giants first-team WRs today were Odell Beckham and Sterling Shepard on the outside with Victor Cruz in the slot. Don't expect that to change barring injury.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

Jason Spriggs, who played the second half vs. the 49ers with a club cast in his right hand, doesn't have it on for practice today.
