Doug Pederson, like so many others, badly wants what the Patriots have had: "Everybody in the league sort of envies their success, and rightfully so. They've been there, done that many times. And that's something every other team would love to have. It's impressive. It's well-respected and well-documented. But we're just going to prepare the same and block out the noise as best we can."

The Saints have now tied a franchise record with seven Pro Bowlers after guard Larry Warford was added to the NFC all-star roster as a replacement for Eagles guard Brandon Brooks. This is the first career Pro Bowl for Warford, who clearly paid off as the Saints' biggest investment in free agency this year at four years, $34 million. The 26-year-old, who spent his first four years in Detroit, helped the Saints lead the NFL in both yards per rush and yards per pass attempt.

Philadelphia's run-pass option dismantled teams throughout the 2017 season. It was no different for the Vikings defense in the NFC Championship. Defensive tackle Tom Johnson said they were anticipating Nick Foles would drop back further instead of stay in the middle of the pocket. Foles thrived off the use of play-action passes, going 10-for-11 for 105 yards and a touchdown on those throws Sunday night.

Tom Brady talked about getting the 12 stitches out of his hand in the coming days (via "Kirk and Callahan Show"): "Hopefully some time this week. And at that point, again, because I was fortunate not to tear any ligaments or anything like that - there was no broken bones - that was obviously the best news I could ever hear based on what you thought it could be. It ended up being a lot of good luck after, I'd say, a pretty unlucky injury. It turned out to be a lot good luck it wasn't more serious than it was."
