La'el Collins on his two-year extension with the Dallas Cowboys: "Definitely means a lot to me. Means a lot to my family in so many ways. I'm super excited and I'm just happy that I get to be with the Cowboys for the amount of time that I do and I look to really be here forever. So I'm going to continue to do what I got to do to make that happen."

Dez Bryant made Joshua Williams day Tuesday. Bryant pulled Williams out of the stands after practice and played catch for a few minutes. Bryant signed the football when they finished. It just so happened to be Williams' ninth birthday. He was overcome with emotion after meeting Bryant. His mom, Jessica, admitted it will be hard to top this birthday celebration.

Overheard at camp: "Good job, boy." Those three words were a common refrain from cornerback Patrick Peterson throughout practice, whether they were focused at fellow cornerback Justin Bethel after a pass break up or other defensive backs after they made a play. Peterson was more vocal this practice than he has been throughout camp praising and encouraging his defensive teammates throughout the two-and-a-half hour practice.

Rookie report at camp: On a day when coach Bruce Arians called out the receivers of all levels for turning in their worst performance in five years the day before, rookie Chad Williams was steady throughout practice, making a handful of catches on 11-on-11 drills. He had one about midway through practice in traffic that caught the attention of the sideline.

Best play at camp: Linebacker Scooby Wright, who has developed a reputation for his aggressive play, started a practice full of highlights Tuesday with an interception of quarterback Drew Stanton early in the session. It was an athletic play, that saw him shift his body and tip the ball to himself. He continued his impactful day with physical hit later in practice along the sideline while in coverage.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has a message on the back of his Nike cleats. He would like to eat in 2017.

Cardinals rookie WR Chad Williams told a story after practice today of him trying to emulate Larry Fitzgerald nine years ago … trying to catch a fish. Yes, that's right. A fish. Fitzgerald caught a fish one-handed during an appearance on Sports Science. A young Williams saw that and wanted to try his hand at catching fish while on a fishing trip with his brothers. Williams remembered catching 32 fish that day, but he didn't catch any of the fish – mostly bass – his brothers threw to him. Williams, who was the Cardinals' third-round pick this year, said he hasn't told Fitzgerald the story. Yet.

Benson Mayowa, who led the Cowboys in sacks last season with six, is not practicing Tuesday. He is expected to be limited as he deals with knee soreness that limited him in the spring.
