Bucs to sign Evan Dietrich-Smith

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued their offseason overhaul, particularly on the offensive line, by agreeing to terms with former Green Bay Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith on Friday.

Dietrich-Smith becomes the seventh player to join the Bucs since the start of free agency Tuesday. He immediately becomes the starter at center with the Bucs either moving Jeremy Zuttah, who has a $4.25 million salary-cap figure, to guard or releasing him.

The Bucs already began reconstructing the offensive line by signing left tackle Anthony Collins and releasing longtime starter Donald Penn. They also previously released veteran guard Davin Joseph.

Dietrich-Smith, 27, is coming off his first full season as a starter since joining the Packers in 2009.
