Jones-Drew practiced fully for the first time since injuring his hand in Week 1 against the New York Jets. He's been limited in practice for the past week and he missed the past two games.
"I think he's in a better spot now than he was two weeks ago and even where he was last week," coach Dennis Allen said. "Signs are pointing that he's going to be ready to go for this weekend."
Jones-Drew started Week 1 and will likely, barring a setback, have a big role along with Darren McFadden. McFadden hasn't run well as the starter, but neither did Jones-Drew, who had 11 yards on nine carries against the Jets.
Meanwhile, linebacker Miles Burris practiced on a limited basis Thursday, giving him a chance to play Sunday. He was in a walking boot for the past few days. Fellow linebacker Nick Roach has not been cleared for full contact from an Aug. 22 concussion, and linebacker Sio Moore looks like he will miss his second straight game with an ankle sprain, as he has failed to practice for the past two days.
