Babineaux suffered the injury in Sunday's season-opening loss to Chicago. He will not require surgery, his agent said.
The absence of Babineaux could cause problems in the middle of the defensive line for the Falcons. They played the opener without Corey Peters, who was out with a knee injury. Peria Jerry started in his place.
If Peters is ready to return this week against Philadelphia, he and Jerry likely would be the starters. If Peters is out, the Falcons would be very thin at defensive tackle because Vance Walker and Carlton Powell, a pair of career backups, are the only other ones on the roster.
