Brett Favre doesn't understand what the fuss is all about.
Favre told USA Today on Friday he was sincerely praising quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a radio interview with Atlanta's 790 The Zone Tuesday.
In the interview, Favre said "the biggest surprise to me would be that he didn't (win a Super Bowl) sooner" and that Rodgers "just kind of fell into a good situation."
Favre said he believes the quotes have been taken out of context, according to the report.
"Nothing, for the most part, surprises me anymore,'' Favre told USA Today. "But I have to admit (the reaction to) this one surprised me.
"It is very [infrequent] when I do interviews. I was very gracious and complimentary of the Packers and Aaron Rodgers."
Rodgers shrugged off the comments Thursday, saying he was proud of the Packers' accomplishments last season.
"I'm just going to say that I was really proud of our team," Rodgers said. "It takes 53 guys to win a championship and we had the right recipe last year and we're trying to do the same thing this season."
