Tests show Leon Hall tore Achilles

Cincinnati Bengals starting cornerback Leon Hall is likely out for the season after initial tests indicated he tore his left Achilles tendon in Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh.

Hall was hurt on the Steelers' final drive of the first half and was on crutches after the game.

He signed a $39-million contract extension in September.

Cornerback Adam Jones missed his second straight game Sunday with a pulled right hamstring.

Hall was a key cog in the surprising Bengals' stingy defense this season.

Cincinnati (6-3) had won five straight before falling 24-17 to the rival Steelers on Sunday.
