Packers sit Aaron Rodgers vs. Lions

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was inactive for Sunday's 45-41 win over the Detroit Lions. Backup Matt Flynn started in his place.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy had been coy this week about his approach to Sunday's game after the Packers (15-1) clinched the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

The Packers rested several other star players with nagging injuries, including cornerback Charles Woodson, linebacker Clay Matthews, wide receiver Greg Jennings, right tackle Bryan Bulaga, running back James Starks and wide receiver Randall Cobb.
