Ronnie Brown off to San Diego

The San Diego Chargers agreed to terms on a one-year contract Friday with veteran running back Ronnie Brown.

Brown, 30, spent the 2011 season with the Philadelphia Eagles, playing in all 16 games and serving primarily as a backup to All-Pro LeSean McCoy. Brown finished the season with a 136 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Brown previously played six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, totaling 4,815 yards and 36 touchdowns on the ground and 1,491 yards and two TDs through the air.

Brown made the Pro Bowl in the 2008 season after scoring a career-high 10 touchdowns to go with 916 rushing yards.
