Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday he is still unsure if either will be able to play Sunday against the New York Jets.
Carpenter was injured in practice last week, while Wright was hurt on the first series of last Sunday's win against Minnesota. If Wright can't go, he would be replaced by Mike Morgan at outside linebacker. Carpenter was replaced last week by John Moffitt.
Braylon Edwards did not practice Wednesday but likely will be back Thursday, his first real work since having knee problems the morning of Seattle's loss at Detroit. Edwards has missed the past two games.
Jason Jones (ankle) was limited in practice. He's missed the past two games.
Cornerback Walter Thurmond was activated from the physically unable to perform list, completing his return from two fractures in his lower left leg. Seattle had a roster spot open after releasing wide receiver Charly Martin on Tuesday. Martin was re-signed to the practice squad Wednesday.
