Jaguars interview Mel Tucker

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker is interviewing Monday for Jacksonville's head coaching job while St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will interview for the position Tuesday, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

New general manager David Caldwell is leading the search for the Jaguars next coach after firing Mike Mularkey last week.

Tucker was the Jaguars' interim coach in 2011, going 2-3 over the final five games of the season after Jack Del Rio was fired. He interviewed last offseason with former general manager Gene Smith for the head coaching job that ultimately went to Mularkey.

Schottenheimer, who is the son of former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer, also interviewed for the Jaguars coaching vacancy last offseason.

Another candidate for the Jaguars' job is 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Roman and Caldwell were college roommates and teammates at John Carroll University.
