ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- For the first time since Champ Bailey suffered a left foot injury in an Aug. 17 preseason loss in Seattle, the 12-time Pro Bowl selection was back on the practice field Thursday.
Bailey worked with the starters at times, Broncos coach John Fox said.
"He was limited. We're going to ease him back," Fox said. "It's good to have him back out there. He's been staying in it, in the meetings. He is a team captain for a reason. … We'll see day to day how it goes and maybe as early as this Monday night."
Bailey was formally listed on the team's injury report as "limited."
Tight end Joel Dreessen, who had two arthroscopic knee surgeries in the span of two months, the second early in training camp, was also on the practice field.
