Duane Brown (toe) won't play

HOUSTON -- Texans left tackle Duane Brown is not traveling with his team to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Brown suffered an injury to his toe last week in the first half against the Tennessee Titans. The All-Pro sat out five plays and finished the game but was later diagnosed with turf toe.

This will be the first NFL game Brown has ever missed due to injury since being taken in the first round of the 2008 draft. He has started 78 games for the Texans.

Though he did not practice all week, coach Gary Kubiak said Brown was a player who could play without practice time. He listed Brown as questionable on Friday's official injury report.

Ryan Harris, who will start in Brown's place, made 18 starts with the Denver Broncos prior to being signed by Houston during the 2012 season. He started two games for Houston last season at right tackle in place of an injured Derek Newton. Harris has spent most of his career playing right tackle.
