Cecil Shorts has shoulder sprain

DENVER -- Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts suffered what the team called a sprained shoulder and was ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

A source told ESPN's Josina Anderson that there is concern Shorts could have a fractured rib closer toward the sternum. He is scheduled to have a CT scan on the area Monday, the source said.

Shorts was hurt on the game's third offensive play when he landed hard after an incomplete pass from Chad Henne. Shorts is the Jaguars' leading receiver with 31 catches for 411 yards.

Shorts has been dealing with a groin injury for the past two weeks and was listed as probable for Sunday's game.
