Roddy White inactive vs. Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, who was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, is inactive for the third consecutive game because of hamstring and ankle injuries.

White expressed optimism about playing Sunday after returning to practice on Friday. But White's practice time was limited upon his return.

Prior to the game, White tested out his health by running routes under the watchful eye of the training staff.

Falcons coach Mike Smith and receivers coach Terry Robiskie huddled with White before a decision was made.

With White still sidelined, the Falcons will turn to Harry Douglas at the No. 1 receiver. Tight end Tony Gonzalez is sure to get his share of touches, too, depending on what type of defensive coverage his draws.

The Falcons do get back left tackle Sam Baker, who is active coming off a knee injury.

Running back Jonathan Stewart and defensive end Charles Johnson (groin) are active for the Panthers.
