PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, the NFL's leading rusher, left Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with an injury to his right hamstring late in the first half but returned for the first play of the second half.
McCoy was running the ball inside the Washington 10-yard line late in the first half. He went down without being hit and grabbed at his hamstring.
After walking off the field under his own power, McCoy went to the locker room with medical staffers for further evaluation.
McCoy had rushed for 37 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown run, before the injury. For the season, he has 969 rushing yards.
