Jack Del Rio, on Raiders anthem protest: "If they didn't have the kickoff so close ton the anthem, we probably would have stayed in instead of going out, but that's the way we handled it. Was it a problem? I don't think so. I think the problem was (Washington) outplayed us today."

Donald Penn: "We've got disasters going on in Florida and Puerto Rico and Houston's trying to rebuild and (Trump is) worried about us with a silent, peaceful protest. When the people in Charlottesville had all this, he didn't call them sons of bitches. He didn't call them assholes. You know what I mean?...This had nothing to do with disrespecting the military, or the flag. I have the utmost respect for them. Because you will not see me over there shooting no guns...this all had to do with President Trump's comments. That's the only reason we did that. If somebody calls you out like that, you've got to do something…see how we're giving Trump all this power. I don't want to give him that. I don't even want to talk about him no more.”

Kirk Cousins threw for 365 yards and three touchdowns, Chris Thompson had 188 all-purpose yards and a score and the Washington Redskins sacked Derek Carr four times and held the Oakland Raiders to 128 yards in a dominating 27-10 victory on Sunday night.

Michael Crabtree has a chest contusion after a nasty sideline hit and is QUESTIONABLE to return, per Raiders radio sideline reporter Lincoln Kennedy.

The Raiders had 1st and goal from the 4-yard line. Three straight passes. Three straight incompletions. No touches for Marshawn Lynch. Giorgio Tavecchio field goal makes it 24-10, Washington, with 11:54 to play.

James Cowser. Johnny on the spot. That's his second fumble recovery for the Raiders. Cory James with the big hit.

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

I'll just leave this right here...at start of 4th quarter, Washington has 395 yards of total offense, the Raiders have 62. Washington has 15 first downs, the Raiders have 3.

Marquette King flipped the game last week with a knuckleball punt muffed by the Jets and just did it again in Washington. The Raiders got on the board with a laser throw from Derek Carr to Jared Cook to get within 21-7 with 3:52 to play in the 3rd quarter. Is it enough to flip this game, though?

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

Derek Carr has been sacked 4 times by a four-man pass rush for the first time in his career. Also... The Raiders have 47 total yards, their fewest in a first half since 2015 Week 14 against the Broncos. In that game they had -12 yards in the first half but came back to win 15-12. Per ESPN Stats & Information.

"The Raiders are getting DESTROYED tonight." - Greg Papa "It's embarrassing, really." - Tom Flores

David Amerson's homecoming with a bad turn. He actually played teh ball perfectly, was in position to make the pick on the 52-yard throw into the end zone, did not mistime his jump. He just got out-muscled for the score.

After an early defensive series, Cory James was on all fours on the Raiders sideline, losing his lunch. The linebacker getting sick was appropriate given the way Oakland looked the first half in general, how poorly Derek Carr played in particular. Carr, who had not thrown an interception in his previous three games, was picked off twice, was sacked twice and was just 5-of-10 passing for 23 yards before halftime. Washington QB Kirk Cousins, meanwhile, was 17-19 for 173 yards and 2 TDs, though Khalil Mack got him for a sack.

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

"Derek Carr is completely unaware of his surroundings here. With the 2-minute warning counting down, he had no idea." - Raiders radio analyst Greg Papa.

"Not very good. Sean Smith has trouble inside and outside." - Raiders radio analyst Tom Flores, after Smith was used by Vernon Davis for a TD.

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

Is Derek Carr trying to put too much touch on his passes, rather than stepping into the throw? That's his second INT, on a ball to slot receiver Seth Robert who was blanketed in coverage, on a back shoulder throw. "There's a look of disgust on Derek's face," said Raiders radio analyst Tom Flores. "It's in his head a little bit."

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

Not a good start for the Raiders offense. Derek Carr had not thrown an interception in three games, dating to last season, and was then picked off on Oakland's first series. Also, Oakland had allowed only two sacks in two games, but then the Raiders' second series ended with a pair of sacks.

ESPN Stats and Information

Derek Carr had not thrown an interception in any of his last three starts dating to last season, which was tied for the longest streak of his career.

Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer

As noted earlier in the week, Derek Carr has been efficient by getting the ball out quickly. He is averaging a league-low 1.91 seconds from snap to release, and his average pass has traveled a league-low 4.8 yards past the line of scrimmage, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
