I'm told that Cardinals inside linebackers coach Larry Foote was putting Paul Magloire through position drills at Arizona's pro day today. He ran an unofficial 4.55 in the 40, 25 reps on the bench, 9'11" on the broad jump.

Gruden often shows the college prospects clips of Carson Palmer holding the ball securely with two hands in the pocket. That is one point of emphasis with Patrick Mahomes at QB Camp today.

Alex Okafor's deal with the Saints is one year, $2 million, with up to $1 million in escalators based on sacks and playing time. His salary-cap cost is $2 million. That's good value for a 26-year-old pass rusher with untapped potential.

Cardinals facing serious turnover on defense

Few teams have been hit as hard in this free-agent period as the Cardinals, who've already seen six players walk out the door. That includes five defenders, and a sixth could join them soon.

Today's Cardinals free agency recap … Arrivals: LB Jarvis Jones (Steelers) Departures: LB Alex Okafor (Saints)

Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer

The Saints have kicked off Week 2 of free agency by addressing their two biggest needs. A source confirmed they agreed to terms with former Cardinals pass rusher Alex Okafor. And Sean Payton told the Associated Press that Patriots restricted free agent cornerback Malcolm Butler is coming in for a visit Thursday (which could lead to a potential trade). Okafor, 26, has been a rotational pass rusher with the Cardinals, but a good one who could be an upgrade over the guys New Orleans has been rotating in that spot. The 6-4, 261-pounder had 3.5 sacks last year and 13.5 over the past three years.
