Which 0-2 team has the best playoff chances?

The Bengals' collapse has been completely one-sided, as their offense ranks dead last but the defense is 11th. Their tough division makes a full-circle rebound seem unlikely.

Cutler, Gates, Bengals among notable performances in Week 2

Antonio Gates made history in the Chargers' game against the Dolphins, while Jay Cutler helped Miami get the win. The Bengals also make the list, but not for a good reason.

Bengals WR Tyler Boyd admitted former OC Ken Zampese had a tendency to overload him at times with information. Boyd called Zampese a 'great coach,' but said: "There were times where I just felt like he would overwhelm with things to do out there in terms of details and what to do and what not to do. Just making me think too much."

Defensive back Alex Carter is working out for the Bengals today. A 2015 third-round pick for the Lions, he spent most of 2016 on their practice squad. He converted to safety from cornerback in the offseason, but could play either position.

Teams in the dreaded 0-2 hole

The road to the playoffs has already gotten much tougher for the 49ers, Bears, Bengals, Browns, Chargers, Colts, Jets and Saints. Since the postseason field expanded to 12 in 1990, just 12 percent of teams to start 0-2 have made the playoffs.

The Bengals have a few extra days to mull over how they'll proceed with offensive coordinator Bill Lazor after firing Ken Zampese. It's not going to be a magic fix, and Andy Dalton's play has to be concerning for Lazor, who will now split time between his job as QB coach and OC. Bengals need to get Dalton back on track, which is going to be a difficult task at Lambeau Field next week.

Two team race in AFC North?

That's the way ESPN's Football Power Index sees it. The Bengals and Browns have played just three games combined so far, but FPI gives each just a 1 percent chance to win the division. The Steelers currently hold a slight edge, but the Ravens have cut the gap by 26 percentage points since the preseason.

We're barely into Week 2 but the AFC North is already just a two-team race.
