Luck suffers setback, shut down from throwing

Colts general manager Chris Ballard would not put a timeline on when Andrew Luck will resume practicing. He also didn't shut the door on the possibility of putting his franchise quarterback on injured reserve.

FPI: Set the draft board in Indy?

Monday night's loss in Nashville might have been a coup de grace for the Colts, whose playoff chances in ESPN's FPI fell under 1 percent for the first time this season. They currently have the third-best chance (4 percent) at getting the No. 1 overall pick next spring.

Brissett couldn't handle second-half blitz

The Titans blitzed the Colts only five times in the first half, and Jacoby Brissett completed all four of his passes against it for 40 yards and a TD, as well a 1-yard scramble. But in the second half, Brissett was blitzed nine times and was pressured on six of those. He didn't handle those extra rushers at all, completing just 2 of 9 passes for 17 yards. Second-half struggles not an easy fix for Colts

The Colts were terrible in the second half again on Monday. After six weeks of bad performances after halftime, the excuses are getting to be old.

Finally! Titans end 11-game skid to Colts with 36-22 win

Marcus Mariota threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to Taywan Taylor with 5:29 left , and the Tennessee Titans beat the Indianapolis Colts 36-22 on Monday night to snap an 11-game skid tied for the NFL's longest active losing streak against one team.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Really impressed with Titans QB Marcus Mariota tonight. Clearly limited by that hamstring injury, Tennessee took out the boot and sprint passes in the game plan. All pocket throws. And Mariota still finished with 306 yards passing (23-of-32) with one touchdown and one interception.

Colts RB Robert Turbin is headed straight to the locker room after getting injured on a 9-yard reception.

Play-action with a deep corner route from Titans WR Taywan Taylor on the TD. That's tough on any two-deep coverage if the safety doesn't stay on top of the route. And with no help from the CB underneath, QB Marcus Mariota had a clear window to throw that ball.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

The consistent lack of a pass rush is beating the Colts again. Marcus Mariota, who is shying away from running with the ball, has all the time he needs in the pocket. He threw an easy 58-yard touchdown pass to Taywan Taylor to put Tennessee back up 29-22 with 5:29 left in the game.

Physical drive from the Titans. And smart play-calling inside the deep red zone. Forget the gadget plays. Go straight downhill with DeMarco Murray for the TD to take the lead.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

The Colts have taken a bend, but don't break approach on defense so far. They've held the Titans to five field goals tonight. They should be glad about giving up only three points on that last series after Jack Doyle's fumble in Indy's territory.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

Jack Doyle just gave the Titans some life. He fumbled after an 11-yard reception in Indy territory. The Titans are in position to tie the game up with a touchdown and extra point. That was Doyle's second fumble of the season.

Mike Wells ESPN Staff Writer

Colts Rashaan Melvin has come up with two key pass breakups on third down since returning from leaving the game in the first half.
