Apologies, but I made a typo on an earlier post: CB Nickell Robey-Coleman probably won't play; Kayvon Webster probably WILL play. Lamarcus Joyner and Blake Countess are options to fill in for Robey-Coleman in the slot.

Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, who plays the slot, probably won't play, but CB Kayvon Webster, who plays on the outside, probably won't. Lamarcus Joyner, the starting safety, or Blake Countess can fill in.

NFL Week 12 predictions: Saints at Rams

The Rams comes a tough loss at Minnesota. Meanwhile, the Saints travel across the country to face a Rams offense that has been every bit as surprising this season as New Orleans' breakout defense.

Rams coach Sean McVay, on Jared Goff limiting interceptions ...

Rams coach Sean McVay, on if he believes he can ramp up the targets for Sammy Watkins: "I think so. ... Sammy is a special player. You always want to try to get guys like him involved, but ... we never want Jared to feel like he's got to force the ball. Let the coverage and let whatever the defense presents dictate your decision-making process."

Rams QB Jared Goff, on being without Robert Woods: "I don't expect much of a fall-off. I know Robert Woods is special, and his production has been great this year, but I'm looking forward to seeing guys step up this week."

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams WR Sammy Watkins has a saying: "90 percent of the time I feel like I'm open. The other 10 percent, some s*** goes bad with the quarterback; a sack of something like that." Still, Watkins echoed Sean McVay's message — that the Rams are going to have to replace Robert Woods by committee. "Maybe I do get more opportunities; you never know. But we do have other guys stepping up."

Tavon Austin was asked if the Rams have enough to make up for Robert Woods' absence. "Of course," he said. "I feel like every receiver that we have on our team can go somewhere and start on another team."

The Rams' injury report is a long one. WR Robert Woods and RB Malcolm Brown will not play. CBs Kayvon Webster and Nickell Robey-Coleman are question marks. Sean McVay said the Rams were being precautionary with RB Lance Dunbar's knee. TE Derek Carrier and CB Troy Hill are expected back this week.

Rams announced they have promoted CB Kevin Peterson from the practice squad. They need help at the position with Kayvon Webster (concussion) and Nickell Robey-Coleman (thigh) on the mend this week. If they can't go, I expect Blake Countess and Troy Hill to replace them. The Rams had an open spot on the 53-man roster after waiving TE Johnny Mundt on Tuesday.

FPI ranks best games of Week 12: Saints at Rams

L.A. will host New Orleans and a Drew Brees-led offense that ranks second in both rushing and passing offensive expected points added per game this season.

When asked about the comparisons between himself and rookie Rams coach Sean McVay, Saints coach Sean Payton said, “The first similarity would be S-E-A-N.” Payton also pointed out that they share a Miami (Ohio) background and that the Rams have former Saints assistants Aaron Kromer and Bill Johnson on staff. “There's a confidence you build (when) you get your opportunity,” Payton said. “I've never had a chance to work with him. But he clearly is doing a fantastic job there.”

Rams still in good position despite loss

L.A.'s playoff odds dropped 10 percentage points this week, but they remain the fourth-highest in the NFC. Meanwhile, the Rams' chances of winning the NFC West actually went up slightly thanks to the Seahawks' loss.

The Rams have waived TE Johnny Mundt, which probably means Derek Carrier is ready to return as the team's third tight end. Mundt can return to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Power Rankings: Rams jump up one spot

Los Angeles is 7-3 and should have no problem finishing the year with a winning record. If that happens, it'll be the franchise's first winning season since 2003.
