FPI favors the Vikes in Minny

One of the NFL's most stout rush defenses has a slight edge at home by ESPN's FPI, which gives the Vikings a little north of a 50 percent chance to take down the Buccaneers.

Kiper's Rookie Big Board: Dalvin Cook

The Vikings have installed Cook as their workhorse back, unseating free-agent signing Latavius Murray. Cook has been great, but has yet to find the end zone in the NFL.

Case Keenum's journey as a journeyman in the NFL has helped him be ready for anything that comes his way. He'll rely on that same mindset if he has to start again in place of Sam Bradford on Sunday.

Vikings injury report has Sam Bradford (knee) and Anthony Barr (hamstring) as limited. Xavier Rhodes (hip) was back as a full participant after being limited last week. Pat Elflein (ankle) and Mackensie Alexander (wrist) are new to the injury report this week but were full participants on Wednesday.

Sam Bradford going through his reps during the open portion of practice on Wednesday. He said he felt better today when we spoke with him before noon, says his body will tell him, coaching staff whether he's good to go for Sunday vs. Bucs.

Courtney Cronin ESPN Staff Writer

Sam Bradford said he was trying to figure out if he could move, protect himself the way he needs to in a game during his pregame workout before Vikings played the Steelers. Was hopeful he was going to be able to do that after resting knee on Saturday. Said knee didn't feel right on Sunday.

Courtney Cronin ESPN Staff Writer

Bradford says he's not sure he's ever dealt with this particular injury to his left knee, even after twice-tearing his ACL in the same knee and going through surgery/rehab process in 2013 and 2014. So it sounds like this is a new type of injury to the affected knee.

Courtney Cronin ESPN Staff Writer

Sam Bradford spoke about the left knee injury he sustained against the Saints, saying it was the result of non-contact. He felt it during the game, didn't think it was a major concern and as the game went on it got worse. He woke up last Tuesday morning and his knee "just didn't feel very good."

Vikings have signed safety Jack Tocho to the practice squad. He was drafted by Minnesota in the 7th round and played in four preseason games where he notched six total tackles, three special teams tackles and a fumble recovery before being waived on Sept. 2. Tocho was originally a cornerback in college at N. C. State before he transitioned to safety with Minnesota.

Power Rankings: Vikings slide a bit

Minnesota jumped five spots with an impressive Week 1 victory, but Sunday's loss and concern over Sam Bradford's health spoiled much of that progress.
