The Giants added OLB coach Mike Dawson and assistant DB coach Henry Baker to their staff. They replace Rob Leonard (Dolphins) and DeShea Townsend (Bears). Dawson comes from Nebraska where he was the defensive line coach and Baker from Rutgers.

Source: Giants decline RB Stewart's '19 option

The Giants didn't pick up the 2019 contract option of veteran running back Jonathan Stewart, making him a free agent, a source confirmed to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Stewart was scheduled to count $3.2 million against the salary cap.

The Giants did not pick up the option on the contract of RB Jonathan Stewart, per source. This was the expected result by today's deadline. Stewart was scheduled to count $3.2 million against the salary cap this season. He had six carries for 17 yards in his only year with the Giants.
