Foles content with 'crazy situation' with Eagles

While Nick Foles admits going from Super Bowl MVP to backing up Carson Wentz once Wentz fully recovers from knee surgery is a "crazy situation," he's accepting of his role, though he reiterated Tuesday he hopes to lead a team again in the future.

Eagles statement on being invited to the White House following their Super Bowl win: "We have been in contact with White House representatives and are currently discussing the logistics of an upcoming visit to Washington. We are honored to receive this invitation and view this not only as an opportunity to be recognized for our on-field achievements, but also as an opportunity to engage in productive dialogue with the leaders of our country."

A tiny oral history: Boo, Eagles, boo!

This weekend, former Cowboys great Drew Pearson will again be a part of the Dallas draft. But it's highly unlikely he'll be able to top last year's viral troll play he made in Eagles fans' faces.

Nick Foles' reworked deal can be viewed as a unique move for unique situation. What do you do for a SB MVP who is at his most marketable but ‬remains under contract as a backup? Give him a $2 million pay bump and restructure the deal so he can earn extra through incentives — whether he sees the field a little or a lot this year. I believe it was important to Foles to receive this kind of gesture, and the Eagles recognize that he's earned it.

Fun, draft-relevant fact from Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas: 22 of the starters in Super Bowl LII were third-round picks or lower, including 18 that were fourth-rounders or below and six that were undrafted free agents. It's not all about the sizzle.
