Darrius Heyward-Bey's MRI negative

ANDERSON, Ind. -- An MRI on Indianapolis Colts receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey's left knee came back negative, coach Chuck Pagano said Tuesday.

Heyward-Bey returned to the practice field Tuesday night, the team announced. The Colts said he participated in individual drills.

Heyward-Bey injured his knee during practice Sunday. He wore a brace on his knee while watching practice Monday.

T.Y. Hilton, in his second season, will be the second receiver opposite veteran Reggie Wayne until Heyward-Bey returns.

Depth at receiver will become a concern for the Colts if Heyward-Bey, who signed with them in the offseason after spending his first four years with the Oakland Raiders, is out for an extended period of time.
