Jarvis Green

SELECTED BY KANSAS CITY , ROUND 4, PICK 30, OVERALL PICK 126
DE | (0-0, 273) | LSU
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Redshirted in 1997. Started the first 10 games in '98 before an injury put him on the shelf. Started five times at end and four times at rush linebacker in '99. Was hampered by injuries throughout the 2000 season but started eight times and played in nine regular-season games. Started every game in '01 and was an All-Southeastern Conference pick by the league's coaches. Had 50 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and eight sacks in '98, 51-12-7 in '99, 31-3-1 in 2000 and 52-7-4 in '01.

Positives: Is quick and athletic with good speed. Shows some pass-rush ability and that he can get upfield and be disruptive. Quick into gaps. Will make some big plays. Can run and chase.

Negatives: A little undersized. Is slow to shed blocks at times and misses some tackles. Had 15 sacks over his first two years and five over the last two.

Summary: Has shown NFL talent but not as much as I felt he would when he was an up-and-coming player in 1998 and '99.
