CB | (5-11, 185, 4.55) | Temple
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: High school running back, track star (best event was high jump) and basketball player. Moved to wide receiver as a true freshman in 1999, played 10 games, started one and caught 13 passes for 99 yards and one touchdown. Moved to cornerback in 2000 and started from the second game on. Also started every game in '01. Had 71 tackles, 13 passes broken up and four interceptions in '00 and 56-6-3 in '01. Played 12 games in '02, making 77 tackles (54 solo) with two tackles for loss, three interceptions, 13 passes broken up, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.Positives: OK size. Gives good effort and will support the run. Has a short burst. Very durable and dependable, plays hard and competes.Negatives: Rounds his cuts and gets turned. Bites on fakes and does not have deep makeup speed. Out of control at times and misses tackles in the open field. Not a big hitter and a little stiff. Some questions about his quickness redirecting. Needs to use his hands better to shed. Lacks play speed.Summary: Needs major work on his fundamentals to have a chance at the next level.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
