By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Third-year junior who was a quarterback and linebacker in high school. Played linebacker as a true freshman in 2000 but moved to rush end in the national championship game vs. Florida State. Moved from linebacker to end after the opener in '01 and went on to lead the Sooners in tackles for loss and sacks. Had 16 tackles, five tackles for loss and a sack in 2000 and 68-18-5 in '01. Started 14-of-14 games in '02, making 46-12-6 and one forced fumble. Helped himself at his on-campus workout when he dropped his 40 time from 4.89 at the Scouting Combine to 4.73.Positives: Very quick and athletic with the speed to get up the field and rush. Made strides as an all-around player last season. Moves well for his size. Shows a burst and is good in pursuit. Will make plays from behind and plays whistle to whistle.Negatives: Average play strength and production. Needs to get bigger and stronger and develop his moves. Also needs to learn how to use his hands and arms better to shed, and needs to learn how to play the position.Summary: Could be special, but he would have been better-served realizing his potential in college.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
