By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Redshirted in 1998. Started every game in '99 and the first nine in 2000 before tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament. Came back to start every game in '01 but may not have been 100 percent, despite winning second-team All-Atlantic Coast honors. Graduated in the spring of '01. Won first-team All-ACC honors last fall, when he started 13-of-14 total games.Positives: Big, tough lineman who has some warrior in him and a great attitude. Top competitor. Nasty. Leg strength is better than in the past. Negatives: Limited athlete. Will struggle with speed and finesse because of his limited foot movement and flexibility. Is stiff and doesn't work well in space. Probably better-suited for guard. Rarely handles speed off the edge and doesn't get good fits on the second level. Summary: Lacks athleticism and his durability might be a concern because he has a lot of tread on his tires. But his experience also might be his greatest strength. Size and tenacity could make him stick in the league.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
