RB | (5-11, 215, 4.8) | Portland State
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Played at California for three years before coming to Portland State, where he redshirted in 2001. Carried 36 times for 128 yards and a touchdown as a freshman; 35-112-1 in 2000; and 61-264-2 in '01. Used primarily as a blocker and earned All-Big Sky honors as a fullback in '02, carrying 12-64-0 and catching 26-246-1.Positives: Tough, north-south, power-type of slasher who is more quick than fast. Is a versatile back with OK initial vision and inside running ability. He runs hard, falls forward and sees the cutback lanes. Has some elusiveness, pretty good feet and vision and very good hands. An excellent blocker who plays faster than he times.Negatives: Lacks speed and is straight-linish and not sudden. Slasher who is rarely thrown to. Is willing and tough enough to block, but doesn't know how and ducks his head or stays high. Lacks experience as a blocker and receiver.Summary: Not accomplished enough as a blocker for fullback and not quick or fast enough to be a featured runner.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
