Chris Robertson

RB | (0-0, 218) | Houston
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Played in every game for Texas in 1998 and '99, with much of his action on special teams. Carried six times for 45 yards in '98. Used as Longhorns' top goal-line runner in '99, when he carried 16-84 yards and 10 touchdowns and caught one pass for one yard and a touchdown. Transfer redshirt in 2000. Was slowed by a hamstring injury at Houston in '01, when he carried 49-163-3 and caught 9-66-1. Injured knee during '02 spring game. Had surgery and hoped to be back by the middle of the season. Played in final four games of the season, rushed 42-184-4 and caught 5-52-2.

Positives: Looks the part. Size and speed are pluses.

Negatives: Is not elusive and doesn't run with power. Lacks experience because of minimal playing time. Doesn't have great football intelligence.

Summary: A developmental prospect with some upside, especially as a goal-line back.
