RB | (6-1, 218, 4.65) | Louisiana Tech
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Transfer from New Mexico Military Institute. Redshirted in 2000 and started all but one game in '01. Carried 186 times for 931 yards and eight touchdowns, caught eight passes for 98 yards and one touchdown and won second-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors. Started every game in '02 and carried 208-1,216-16 with 47-352-0 in a pass-oriented, multiple-WR offense.Positives: A big back who is much more quick than fast. Can be elusive, has good vision and feet and runs through tackles. Runs hard and generally has good lean and pad level. Hits the hole quickly and with a purpose. Is a smart player with very strong legs.Negatives: Is not a natural receiver but can catch the ball within the frame of his body. Has small (8-inch) hands. Will block but doesn't have good technique. Not a self-starter. Doesn't play to timed speed. Offense spreads defense out and opens up running lanes by design.Summary: Has a chance because of his size and versatility.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
