By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: High school and college sprinter. Has run a 6.33 in the 55 meters, 6.96 in the 60 and 22.67 in the 200. Recruited as a running back but spent his freshman year working as a cornerback and also returned six punts for 63 yards. Moved back to offense in 2000, and in eight games (four starts) had 137 rushes for 768 yards and five touchdowns, six catches for 45 yards and 11 kickoff returns for 225 yards before tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament. Came back in '01 to carry 164-774-4 with a long of 81 and catch 4-20 in seven starts. Wound up being the team's featured back in '02 and was the team's leading rusher, carrying 197-1,119-2.Positives: Has a heart as big as he is. Runs like a much bigger man. Has very good quickness and speed and good vision and balance. Can make the first man miss and finds the cutback lanes.Negatives: Is tiny. Looks more like the water boy than the running back. Size really limits him as a blocker and makes him a hard target to find as a receiver. Does not catch well enough at this point to be a third-down back.Summary: Size probably will keep him from being drafted, but he has good return ability would be an excellent player to bring to camp.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
