TE | (0-0, 257) | Ole Miss
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Redshirted in 1998. Started two of 11 games in '99 and nine-of-10 in 2000, missing a game with a bad hamstring. In '01, broke his right forearm vs. Georgia after starting seven-of-nine games. Caught four passes for 83 yards in 1999; 15-173 and one touchdown in 2000, when he missed time with a sprained ankle; and 21-281-4 in '01. Fractured his leg vs. Vanderbilt in the fourth game of the '02 season and finished with eight catches for 75 yards in four starts.Positives: Former quarterback who has a good feel for the passing game. Is a good athlete and an excellent athlete on the ball. Is quick off the ball and generally gets a clean release. Is excellent at finding the soft spot in a zone defense and will beat safeties. He also has excellent hands, adjusts to the ball nicely and can make tough catches. Can split the zone and get deep. Negatives: Cannot seem to stay healthy. Average blocker who is much better in space than in line. However, he is a position blocker who lacks pop and power in line. Was moved around a lot to help create mismatches and may have to be in the slot to be more effective.Summary: May be best-suited to be a movable TE/H-back in the mold of Titans TE Frank Wycheck.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
