As GM, Button fanned Flames

TORONTO -- Craig Button, who was general manager
of the Calgary Flames from 2000-01 to 2002-03, was named as a
scout by the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.

Button was responsible for acquiring many of the players that
helped Calgary reach the Stanley Cup Finals last season. Before
being hired by the Flames, Button served as the Dallas Stars'
director of player personnel.

Button's father, Jack, was an NHL general manager and
his mother, Bridget, worked for Punch Imlach and the Leafs.
