Sundin leaves opener after taking puck in face

TORONTO -- Maple Leafs center Mats Sundin was struck in the face by a puck in
the first period of the team's season opener against the
Ottawa Senators, forcing the Toronto captain to leave for the
dressing room.

Sundin dropped to the ice Wednesday night after getting hit in
what appeared to be his right eye midway through the first. He
looked in obvious pain as blood poured out, and he was helped to the
dressing room.
