Maple Leafs re-sign LW Kilger to multi-year deal

TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs re-signed forward Chad
Kilger to a $2.7 million, three-year contract Monday.

The 29-year-old was to become an unrestricted free agent this
summer. He had a career-high 17 goals while adding 11 assists and
63 penalty minutes in 78 games this season.

Kilger will earn $1.2 million next season, $800,000 in 2007-08
and $700,000 in 2008-09. He earned $475,000 this season.

In 578 career NHL games with Toronto, Anaheim, Winnipeg,
Phoenix, Chicago and Montreal, Kilger has 173 points (83 goals, 90
assists) and 287 penalty minutes.

Kilger was originally selected fourth overall by Anaheim in the
1995 draft.
