Bruins demote Toivonen, Stuart, call up Finley

BOSTON -- The Bruins sent goalie Hannu Toivonen and defenseman Mark Stuart to AHL Providence on Tuesday and called up goalie Brian Finley.

Finley, who has played in two NHL games, signed with Boston in July after spending four years in the Nashville Predators organization. He was 5-3 with a 3.08 goals-against average in eight games this season with Providence.

Toivonen, in his second season with the Bruins, is 2-3 with a 4.20 GAA. In 20 games last season, he was 9-5-4 with a 2.63 GAA. He missed the Bruins' final 41 games with a sprained ankle.

Stuart hasn't played for the Bruins this season after undergoing knee surgery. He had a goal and an assist last season in 17 games.
