Ducks acquire defenseman Rullier from Canucks

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks acquired defenseman Joe
Rullier from the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday in exchange for
right wing Colby Genoway, and sent him to Portland of the AHL.

Rullier, 26, has two goals and six assists in 24 games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL this season. He split last season between Hartford and Manchester of the AHL, getting eight goals and 23 assists in 67 games.

Rullier, with 20 goals and 63 assists in 422 career AHL games, was drafted in the fifth round by the Los Angeles Kings in 1998.

Genoway, 23, had eight goals and 21 assists in 41 games with Portland this season. He signed with the Ducks as a free agent in July.
