Alexander Steen leaves with injury

NEW YORK -- St. Louis Blues forward Alexander Steen left Thursday night's game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury and did not return for the third period.

Steen was in visible pain after getting hit into the boards during the second period. He managed to limp to the bench -- where he was attended to by the Blues athletic trainer -- and returned briefly to make an appearance on St. Louis' power play.

He did not come out for the third period, however.

Steen, who notched his 26th goal of the season to give the Blues a 1-0 lead in the first period, recently returned from a concussion.
