Pens' Evgeni Malkin sits against Oilers

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin was held out of Sunday night's game against the Edmonton Oilers with a lower-body injury, the team said.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said following the game that Malkin "just played a lot of hockey and was a little sore."

Malkin tore two ligaments in his right knee and had surgery this past February. He missed the rest of the regular season and playoffs.

With Malkin out, former Oilers enforcer Steve MacIntyre
came into Edmonton's 2-1 shootout win as his replacement.
