Russia ousts U.S. at volleyball worlds

TOKYO -- Russia defeated the United States in four sets Saturday to reach the final of the women's world volleyball championship.

Ekaterina Gamova scored 22 points to lead the defending champion to a 25-16, 13-25, 25-19, 25-21 win over the second-ranked Americans.

Destinee Hooker finished with a team-high 23 points for the United States.

In Sunday's final, Russia will face top-ranked Brazil, which rallied from two sets down to defeat host Japan 22-25, 33-35, 25-22, 25-22, 15-11.
