Michael Miller gets eight-month ban

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Cyclist Michael Miller of Morgantown, Pa., has accepted an eight-month suspension from the sport after testing positive for a banned stimulant.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Wednesday that a sample collected from the 42-year-old at the Masters Track Nationals on July 27 tested positive for methylhexaneamine.

His period of ineligibility dates back to Sept. 2, when he accepted a provisional suspension. His results from the Masters Track Nationals and other competitions since then have been disqualified.
