CAPE TOWN, South Africa -- Olympic silver medalist Hezekiel
Sepeng was suspended for two years by Athletics South Africa on
Monday for doping.
Sepeng, who finished second in the 800 meters at the 1996
Atlanta Olympics, was tested by the IAAF on Feb. 21 in his home
town of Potschefstro. He tested positive for the steroid
A second test was initially inconclusive, but retesting on July
14 confirmed the positive result.
Sepeng will be suspended until May 10, 2007.
