BC Place Stadium

The stadium is situated in the heart of Vancouver on the north banks of the False Creek area. A nearby Sky Train station is located on the doorstep of the stadium.

The stadium with the biggest inflated domed roof in North America and the venue set to host the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the medal ceremonies, a first for the Winter Games. Built in 1983 to play host to the 1986 World Exposition. A revolutionary design when it was built, the dome has been hit by serious problems in 2007 and will be replaced by a retractable roof following the Games.
